Take Action

Thank You

...to everyone who supported the RRG sale on June 19th. We raised some money while getting our message out. Please help us continue our mission to improve our environment by dontating to RRG. Send checks or money orders to:

RRG, PO Box 262, Youngstown, NY 14174

The Lewiston-Porter community is host to the largest hazardous waste landfill in the Northeastern United States. More than 80% of the waste coming into CWM Chemical Waste Services in Porter comes from outside New York State.

The DEC claims that CWM should remain an acceptable, geographically-equitable option for hazardous waste landfilling in New York, despite the availability of new and emerging high-tech remedial treatment options.

NOW is the time for action! Area residents are strongly encouraged to attend all hearings. Say NO to another 50 years of toxic and hazardous waste in our community, our children's schools, our air, and the Great Lakes.

How you can help:

Volunteer: No matter what your talents or interests, there is a place for you with RRG. Assitance with outreach, fundraising, public relations, and legal matters is welcome and encouraged.

Attend the Town of Porter and Town of Lewiston board meetings.

The board of the Town of Porter meets every second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
