CWM has had an application pending since May 2003 to site a 3,900,000+ cubic yard hazardous waste landfill next to its existing landfill in Porter. That’s roughly 15 Buffalo Bills Football Stadiums filled to the brim with toxic waste, and another 30-60 years of toxic waste truck traffic in our region. We do not expect the DEC to declare this application complete until 2009.
